May 5, 2025 — Fort Worth, TX — The International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association (IBPSIA) is proud to announce Stephen Padilla, USBC Gold Coach and National Director of Coaching for USBC, as the recipient of the 2025 IBPSIA “Pro Shop Coach of the Year” Award. This prestigious honor recognizes a coach whose collaborative spirit, technical curiosity, and commitment to excellence have significantly contributed to the growth and success of pro shop operations.
Presented annually at the IBPSIA Education & Showcase event, in coordination with the BPAA’s Bowl Expo, the “Pro Shop Coach of the Year” Award honors a coach who actively bridges the gap between coaching and pro shop work, elevating both. Though not required to be IBPSIA certified, the recipient must hold a USBC coaching certification and demonstrate a passion for learning, mentorship, and industry advancement.
Stephen Padilla has long embodied these qualities through his hands-on engagement with pro shop professionals and his tireless efforts to integrate technical knowledge into athlete development. His dedication to ongoing education, bowler retention, and strengthening the connection between coaching and equipment services exemplifies the best of what this award represents.
“Stephen Padilla’s leadership, insight, and commitment to collaboration have made a tremendous impact on both the coaching and pro shop communities,” said IBPSIA President David Bolt. “He is a true partner in the growth of our sport, and we’re honored to recognize him as our 2025 Pro Shop Coach of the Year.”
Please join us in congratulating Stephen Padilla on this well-deserved recognition and his continued contributions to the advancement of the bowling industry.
