IBPSIA to Honor Gardner, Hamilton and Laskow


ARLINGTON, TX — Mark Moon, Secretary/ Treasurer and Awards Committee chairperson of the International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association has announced the recipients of its annual awards for 2015. IBPSIA’s awards will be held prior to the association’s 25th Anniversary Bowling Tournament on the evening of June 25, during International Bowl Expo week in Las Vegas, at South Point Arena.  The winners are:

Pro Shop Excellence Award

Chuck Gardner, Jr, Bowling Solutions, Charlotte, N.C.


Friends of IBPSIA Award

Keith Hamilton and Luby Publishing, Chicago, Ill.


Bill Bunetta Lighthouse Award

Tom Laskow, Pro Edge Bowling, Dover, N.J.



“With sincere appreciation, we thank each award winner for providing superior service to IBPSIA,” said IBPSIA President, Russ Wilson. “We believe that the awards presentation, followed by our 25th Anniversary Tournament, will provide a great deal of fun and entertainment during the busy week of Bowl Expo.”

The Pro Shop Excellence Award is given to a pro shop that has a certified technician on staff, plays a key role in the retention/development of bowlers, and is a member of the association. The Bill Bunetta Lighthouse Award can be given to a person or business that has made significant contributions to the pro shop industry. The Friends of IBPSIA Award is given to an individual or company that has made significant contributions to benefit the association and its members.

The 25th Anniversary Bowling Tournament, which is sponsored by the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America, is exclusive to pro shop owners and employees; there is no entry fee.
